Union Minister Nitin Gadkari met Minister Satish Jarakiholi
PWD Minister Satish Jarakiholi met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi today and discussed 20 issues including pending works.
Speaking after meeting Nitin Gadkari, Satish Jarakiholi said, "I have discussed the pending works in the state. He said that the state and the central government have come to an agreement on this.
Jarakiholi said that they discussed various projects including construction of Shiradi Ghat tunnel, construction of elevated corridor in Gokak city, construction of elevated corridor on old NH-4 Pune-Bangalore road in Belagavi city.
We have solved the confusion. Will come again to Delhi with a clear proposition. There is a forest problem for tunnel construction in Shiradighat. An acre of land should not be a problem. He said that a clear proposal is needed from the state and he will discuss it with CM Siddaramaiah.
38 national highways of the state are yet to be upgraded. He is interested in building a tunnel in Bangalore. He also wrote a letter to the state government. The final proposal will be made in the coming days. He said that one should decide who should invest the money.
